Chemical Plant Operator**This is a Safety-Sensitive Position**Express Employment Professionals is currently interviewing for a full-time Chemical Plant Operator with a local Hot Springs company!The pay starts out at $18-$22.00/hrThe schedule is a ROTATING SCHEDULE: 5 AM to 1 PM, 1PM to 9PM, 9PM to 5AM. Rotates weekly. The 1PM to 9PM shift will work an additional 8 hour night shift Saturday or Sunday about once every 5 weeks average (more or less).Room for advancement based on successfully understanding and performing operating processes and completion of various certifications.Chemical Plant Operator key responsibilities include:Must be able to complete OSHA training, and a willingness to learn the basics of pump technology (basic process controls and instrumentation).Daily involvement with plant housekeeping, packaging, and sample collection.Loading and unloading tankers and material handling duties.Provide general plant support for various processes and assist with daily operational tasks.Chemical Plant Operator qualifications:Ability to use controls & instrumentation effectivelyAbility to follow directions wellAttention to detailHigh school diplomaForklift and/or machine operator experience preferredUnderstanding of process flow and distillation beneficial, but not required.
